Pierre Simon Georges is a Haitian legal scholar, educator, and seasoned public servant with a long record of leadership in both academia and government. He is the Founding Director of Collège le Bon Berger and a professor at the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences of Les Cayes, where he has contributed to the training of future legal professionals and civic leaders.

Georges has played a significant role in Haiti’s legislative branch. He served as Deputy during the 45th Legislature from 1991 to 1995, where he was elected First Secretary of the Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies and later became President of the Majority Parliamentary Bloc (BPFNC). He returned to Parliament as a member of the 49th Legislature from 2011 to 2013, continuing his influence in national policymaking.

In addition to his legislative work, he held key administrative roles, including Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies and Treasurer of the Provisional Electoral Council between 2013 and 2015, where he contributed to electoral governance and institutional management.

In 2017, Pierre Simon Georges was appointed Minister of the Environment under President Jovenel Moïse. In this role, he was involved in addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable policies in Haiti.

Throughout his career, Pierre Simon Georges has combined academic engagement with public service, reflecting a commitment to strengthening Haiti’s democratic institutions and legal framework.
